Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and overall upkeep of our properties. The Custodian will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for tenants, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of common areas, hallways, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, and restrooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors, carpets, and surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Clean windows, glass doors, and other surfaces to maintain a professional appearance.
- Restock restrooms and other common areas with necessary supplies.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards, vandalism, or maintenance issues to the Property Manager.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for events, meetings, or special requests from tenants.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors
