Custodian - Happy House Daycare South

We are seeking a Custodian at Happy House Daycare SOUTH location, available to start as soon as possible. This position consists of performing a variety of custodial duties required to maintain the cleanliness and care of the daycare on a full-time basis.

Shift: 10am – 6pm, Monday to Friday

Position involves:

· Attention to detail: Ability to notice and address cleanliness issues in a thorough manner.

· Time management: Efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.

· Physical stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.

· Physical ability to do the required work (Repetitive movements, walking and standing for long periods of time, lifting as needed)

· Sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, vacuuming, stocking shelves. Cleaning communal bathrooms, hallways and lobbies & stocking the janitors closets

· Knowledge of different cleaning supplies and tools

· Awareness of safety procedures

· Multitasking and organizational skills to keep track of various responsibilities

· Ability to carry out tasks in a timely fashion with minimal supervision

· Flexibility to work in a team environment and individually

· Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally

· Good organization and cleaning standards

· Committed to building an atmosphere of trust, competence, confidentiality and positive service to the daycare.

Previous custodial experience considered an asset. Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search.
