If so, we at Gallivan Murphy Insurance Brokers (GMIB.ie) are recruiting new staff to train and qualify as Customer Service Advisors progressing to Sales Advisors. Suitable candidates should be customer attentive, self-motivated and ambitious and will deal with our existing as well as new and potential clients, advising and quoting on cover and services.
Qualifying Criteria
Applicants should have achieved a minimum of 330 points in the Leaving Certificate including a pass in English and Maths at either Ordinary or Higher Level (or equivalent) OR a Level 7 degree (or higher). In line with Central Bank guidelines, the successful applicant may be required to sit the relevant Insurance Institute exams (through Sligo IT) in order to achieve the necessary qualifications. A high standard of written and oral communications in English is necessary (please note that all Sligo IT lectures, examinations, tutorials and practical work are delivered through English).

● Demonstrated proficiency in proactive sales and negotiation, showcasing a strong track record of success.
● Identify potential upsells to cross-sell products and future sales opportunities.
● Business development and relationship management skills.
● Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the continued growth of the Company.
● Able to communicate effectively (in both written and verbal form)
● Enjoys interacting and building relationships with customers and is comfortable working in a fast paced dynamic environment
● Self-motivated, driven, solution focused and able to work on own initiative.
● Evidence of having good attention to detail and good time management
● Able to make real time decisions based on changing information and able to manage your own workload
● Excellent IT skills with a Knowledge of Microsoft office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing Customer Service Advice on all aspects of General Insurance.
- Delivering first class Customer Service in order to maintain existing client relationships in addition to adding new clients.
- Developing relationships with new and prospective clients to secure ongoing business opportunities and drive repeat sales.
- Gathering information from your clients and assessing their insurance needs and risk profile
- Researching insurance companies’ policies and negotiating with underwriters to find the most suitable insurance for your clients at the best price

Pay: €26,500.00-€37,500.00 per year
