Join a Legacy of Excellence at Page The Cleaner/Press Gallery/CRDN

Page The Cleaner is an Edmonton-based, family-owned dry cleaner that has served Albertans since 1935. As one of Alberta’s leading dry cleaners, we pride ourselves on efficiency, quality, and a "customer-first" culture. We are currently looking for a dedicated, part-time Customer Service & Quality Specialist (Counter & Production) to join our team in the St. Albert.

The Role: More Than Just a Counter

This is a dynamic, part-time role for someone who has a knack for sales and an eye for detail. You will be the face of our company at the front counter while also playing a critical role in our garment production process.

What You’ll Do

  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a high standard of store cleanliness and professionalism, including all necessary janitorial duties (mopping, sweeping, dusting, and vacuuming).
  • Sales & Service: Provide expert service advice, clearly communicate essential risk disclaimers, and proactively upsell valuable additional services to enhance the customer's wardrobe.
  • Expert Intake & Inspection: Welcome customers, meticulously inspect items at drop-off (checking pockets, identifying fabrics), and accurately apply heat-seal barcodes for reliable 100% item tracking and entering info in our software.
  • Operational Excellence: Use Lean principles to reduce waste, manage inventory, and maintain a streamlined, professional workspace.
  • The "Final Touch": Work assisting inspecting/detailing route orders, assisting with restoration and quality control to ensure every garment meets our 90-year standard.
  • Proactive Follow-up: Manage the "pick-up" list, making service follow-up calls and sending reminders to ensure a smooth customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Attention to Detail: You are curious about fabrics and care labels; you don’t miss a single loose button or faint stain.
  • Professional Presence: You are presentable, clean, and maintain a positive attitude even during high-pressure "rushes" or when handling customer complaints.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and handle/tag garments throughout the day.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: We value someone who looks for ways to simplify tasks and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Flexibility: While based in the West End, you are comfortable commuting to St. Albert as needed.
  • Reliability & Punctuality: You are a dependable individual who is consistently on time and committed to meeting shift requirements.

Requirements & Experience

  • Education: Secondary School diploma (required).
  • Experience: 1 year of Customer Service or Sales preferred. Experience in textiles, laundry, or dry cleaning is a major plus.
  • Skills: Strong communication, dependability, and a willingness to learn technical garment care.

Benefits & Culture

  • Stability: Permanent, part-time position with a historic Edmonton brand.
  • Coverage: Dental care and Life insurance (details regarding part-time coverage may vary).
  • Perks: Store discounts and free on-site parking.
  • Environment: A fast-paced, in-person team environment where your contribution to quality is seen every day.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Dental care
  • Life insurance
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
