We’re looking for a customer-focused and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our Waterloo branch team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you'll support customers, develop your knowledge of security technologies, and gain exposure to all aspects of trade sales and branch operation.

More than just a customer service role, the Trade Counter is a proven career launch pad, providing a strong foundation for future opportunities in sales, operations, technical support and leadership across the Wesco Anixter business.

Why This Role Matters

As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you play a crucial role in shaping their experience with Wesco Anixter. You’ll support daily branch sales operations, help customers with product and order enquiries and collaborate with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.

What You’ll Do

• Serve customers at the trade counter, via phone, and email
• Processing sales orders (via emailed purchase orders, counter and phone)
• Respond to product, pricing, order, and account enquiries
• Prepare accurate quotes aligned to customer needs
• Coordinating with operations, purchasing, and accounts teams
• Manage returns, backorders, and stock availability requests
Support showroom presentation and branch processes

What You Bring

• Experience in sales or customer service, ideally in a distribution environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong phone manner and customer relationship skills
• Interest in IT or security technology (CCTV, access control, alarms)
• Strong attention to detail and good time‑management skills
Ability to learn quickly and work in a dynamic environment
