Job Description
We are currently seeking a Customs & Logistics Administrator to join our amazing team. Reporting to the Senior Logistics & Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for arranging the collection, movement and delivery of our products from our suppliers to our customers across Ireland, the UK and the EU and ensuring the associated documentation is accurate and complete. In doing so you will ensure that Leinster Environmentals continues to supply excellent products to our valued customers in a timely and efficient manner
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Coordination: Organise and schedule collections of raw materials from suppliers across Ireland & the UK, communicating clearly and frequently with all parties and ensuring timely and efficient pick-ups.
- Documentation Management: Provide accurate and timely documentation to suppliers, including the necessary paperwork for customs requirements and ensuring compliance with relevant shipping legislation
- Customer Relations: Handle day-to-day customer-related matters as they arise, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Weight Verification: Verifying weights of materials to ensure transparent and precise records for billing and reporting purposes.
- Customs: Input customs information onto computer software, following all customs procedures to ensure the seamless clearance of goods. Generating customs reports and relevant paperwork electronically
- Compliance: Engage with regulators to implement & enhance processes within the business to meet current regulations, primarily covering classification of products to ensure accurate & compliant reporting, minimise duties and meet ship times.
- Logistics Support: Provide support to the other members of the logistics team by coordinating and communicating key information effectively to ensure smooth operations.
- Problem Solving: Utilise problem-solving skills and initiative to address challenges that arise in a fast-paced office environment.
Requirements:
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a busy office setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward the growth and development of the company.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) for data management and documentation preparation.
- Knowledge of routine office procedures, customs and logistics.
- Familiarity with trucks/lorries , the nearby border regions and rural/farming affairs, is extremely advantageous.
- Reliable commuting to, Haggardstown, Dundalk Co. Louth.
- Advanced/Higher Education Certificate (required)
- Office or administration >3 years required
