We are currently recruiting for a fulltime Plasma & Oxy Cutting Operator, reporting to the Service Centre Team Leader. The Plasma/Oxy Operator Position is based two cycle shift
Job Function:
To cut and produce parts by operating various Cutting machines such as Plasma/Oxy while maintaining quality, safety and environmental standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment in a busy manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operate cutting machinery to produce good quality parts from nests supplied by internal materials planning/nesting Department.
- Monitor machine’s consumable parts that need to be checked/changed periodically
- Support the cleaning and maintenance of relevant plant and equipment.
- Perform daily quality checks as outlined by the Quality team.
- Moving cut parts onwards in the production process in a timely manner.
- Breaking down cut sheets finished off the Plasma and moved part to kit bins to complete jobs.
- Update paperwork/computer system when each sheet is complete to update job completion and consume raw material.
- Move kit bins in and out of area in line with jobs being completed and started to keep flow of materials moving
Skills and experience required:
· Preferably 1-3 years’ experience working on machinery cutting steel plate, or similar Equipment
· Experience in quality checking your own work
· Ability to read and interpret drawings
· Good computer skills
· Forklift driving experience required
· Good level of English, oral and written.
· Ideal industry background: manufacturing, automotive.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From €15.50 per hour
