Job Title: CVD/Heat-Treater Operator
Description:
The Machine Operator is responsible for the set-up, monitoring, and basic maintenance of CVD coating machines. This position largely entails loading and unloading of machines, and basic preventative maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operation of Vacuum Heat-treating equipment experience would be preferred.
· Knowledge of ISO9001
· Able to read blueprints and measuring parts to print specifications.
· Ability to use or willingness to learn various measuring devices. Micrometers, Dial Calibers, Telescoping gauges, and etc.
· Loads machines and ensures product is sufficiently clean and set up according to company specifications.
· Enters product information and desired coating information according to customer requirements.
· Monitors the coating process, trouble-shooting the machine and process.
· Minimizes equipment downtime through preventative maintenance procedures, including maintaining preventative maintenance logs.
· Assists with other projects, as needed, performs other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
· Basic written math and communication skills
· Detail Oriented.
· Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
· Must be able to pass a criminal background check, including other local, state or federally required checks
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described below must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.
· Occasional lifting and moving of up to 80 lbs.
· Must be able to stand 6-10 hours a day
Work Environment:
· This position is in a manufacturing setting.
· Indoor work which may not be temperature controlled.
· Exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

Experience:
- CVD/Heat Treating: 1 year (Preferred)
