Cwnoc Maintenance Operations Manager

We are seeking a Maintenance Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Taupō. Overseeing the CWNOC Maintenance Contract, you will drive business and contract deliverables while ensuring performance measures are met.

In this key leadership role, you’ll work with the Network Maintenance Manager and CWNOC Leadership team to shape and implement business strategy while supporting commercial and profitable operations. Your main focus will be overseeing CWNOC Maintenance activities across the contract network, ensuring work meets client and stakeholder satisfaction, and achieving targets for productivity, budget, quality, and safety.


In addition, you will :

  • Ensure the team maintains an unwavering focus on Zero Harm
  • Manage all maintenance operations across the entire CWNOC Contract Network
  • Strengthen relationships with clients, ensuring we deliver as promised, every time
  • Grow and develop the team by providing clear, positive leadership
  • Ensure contracts are delivered as expected
  • Collaborate with the BOP Maintenance Manager and CWNOC Contract Manager to retain and enhance current business, and explore opportunities for new business
  • Lead and support the maintenance and operational teams to achieve successful outcomes


This is a Full-Time, Permanent position based from our Rotokawa, Taupō depot.

As an experienced leader, you’ll bring with you the following:

  • A tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field is desirable
  • Experience managing the full project lifecycle, from tendering to delivery
  • A proven track record in developing a culture that supports SQE management, encouraging and rewarding excellence
  • Leadership, prioritizing people and providing decisive direction to teams and the wider business
  • Excellent strategic planning skills, with a focus on delivering business-as-usual (BAU) operations with excellence while driving market growth.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Proven expertise in financial and performance management
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry, including commercial acumen, project controls, programme management, and resource planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple suppliers and subcontractors effectively.
  • Clear leadership behaviours that empower and inspire teams.
