  • You clearly recognize technical vulnerabilities and associated risks.
  • You bring practical experience with security technologies, including SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • You excel at coordinating, analyzing, and investigating security incidents, determining root causes, and developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • You remain calm and professional under pressure, consistently delivering high‑quality outcomes.
  • You proactively identify and recommend improvements to enhance organizational security and positively impact business objectives.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, BTL1, SAL1, or equivalent) are highly advantageous.
  • You have a strong foundational understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network security principles, and are familiar with both Windows and Linux environments.
Essential Requirements:
  • Must be able to continually pass the security vetting process and hold New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Availability and flexibility to work rotating shifts, including night shifts, as SOC operates 24/7.
  • Fluent and articulate in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for client engagement.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and keeping abreast of emerging cybersecurity trends and threats.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Cyber Security focus preferred), or equivalent industry experience
