Reporting to the Director, Cyclotron Operations the Cyclotron Associate will primarily be responsible for supporting
the production of radiopharmaceuticals for human use in accordance with applicable licences, regulatory
requirements, and radiation safety programs. This includes operating synthesis units, performing final product
testing, and ensuring all activities are conducted under strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
and Health Canada Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

In addition to production responsibilities, the Cyclotron Associate may also be assigned to support other
departmental functions including, but not limited to microbiological testing and laboratory maintenance based on
operational needs. Flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to compliance are essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
* Operate synthesis units and equipment for the routine production of radiopharmaceuticals.
* Conduct final quality control testing prior to product release in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
* Support radiation safety practices and ensure compliance with CNSC and Health Canada regulations.
* Maintain accurate and complete production records.
* Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
* Assist with microbiological testing (e.g., sterility, bioburden, environmental monitoring) as needed.
* Support the maintenance of laboratory records, inventories, and cleanliness in line with GMP standards.
* Contribute to the resolution of Change Controls (CCs), Non‑Conformances (NCs), Investigations (INVs), and CAPAs.
* Carry out additional duties within the department as assigned.

Employment Requirements:
* Ideally a degree in chemical engineering, biology, or a related scientific discipline is is required; a Master's degree
is preferred.

Skills/Abilities:
* Experience working with production, testing or analytical equipment
* Knowledge of radiation safety and CNSC regulations
* Strong documentation and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently in a detail‑oriented and regulated environment.
* Understand and work under the Health Canada GMP requirements for sterile pharmaceuticals and the Annex
guideline Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for Positron Emitting Radiopharmaceuticals (PERs).

Assets:
* Experience in a radiochemistry or radiopharmaceutical manufacturing environment
* Previous experience in a GMP‑regulated environment or cleanroom
* General knowledge of PERs, Positron Emitting tomogrophy (PET) and Single Photon Emitting Tomography
(SPECT) would be an asset
* Experience in the production isotopically labeled compounds
* Familiarity with microbiological assays is beneficial but not required.

Salary Range: $41.178 to 48.445
