For our trendy location in Leidschendam, near The Hague, we are looking for enthusiastic Independent Chefs I to strengthen our kitchen team.

What will you do as an Independent Chef I?

• You carry out preparatory work, including washing vegetables, cutting salmon, and cooking sushi rice for the preparation of sushi and stone bowl dishes. You do this together with a kitchen team of approximately ten colleagues, under the supervision of the head chef.
• You prepare and cook various dishes according to the head chef’s recipes and carry out interim quality and hygiene checks in accordance with the applicable guidelines.
• You prepare dishes for service and perform a final check, after which the service staff or robots can deliver the dishes.
• You plan the daily work activities and place orders for food products and other stock replenishments with regular suppliers. You also check delivered products for quality and quantity.
• You supervise the work of kitchen assistants, provide instructions, and make adjustments where necessary.
• Before closing time, you ensure a clean workplace, clean kitchen equipment and machines, and, where needed, assist with cleaning the entire kitchen and storing delivered goods.
• You are a true team player, flexible, and have good communication skills.
• You actively contribute to improving quality, think along about optimizations, and help compile and adjust menus, recipes, and preparation instructions.
• Job requirements: you have completed an MBO-3 education or a comparable qualification, with demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.

• A gross salary between €2,600 and €3,100 based on a 38-hour working week in accordance with the Dutch Hospitality CAO, with 25 vacation days and 8% holiday allowance;
