Child Focus, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to play a critical role in supporting both the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program and the organization’s financial operations. This position will focus on data management, reporting, and program evaluation, while also assisting the CFO with budget development, cost allocations, and grant-related financial reporting.
The successful candidate will bring advanced Excel expertise from day one, with the ability to design, manipulate, and analyze complex datasets to inform decision-making. While prior experience in the child welfare or nonprofit sector is beneficial, it is not required—training will be provided. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a high degree of accuracy, and an efficient, organized work style.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Program Data & Analysis
· · Manage, clean, and maintain CASA program and volunteer data using advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data modeling) and related systems.
· · Conduct in-depth analyses to track outcomes, measure program performance, and monitor key metrics.
· · Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards for staff, leadership, and funders.
· · Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all program data through routine audits and quality checks.
· · Identify data trends and insights, presenting findings in a clear and compelling way to support program improvement and strategic decisions.
· Financial Analysis & Budget Support
· · Assist the CFO with financial allocations for programs and initiatives, providing Excel-based models and tools.
· · Build and manage spreadsheets and templates to track budgets, expenditures, and grant allocations.
· · Support the preparation of grant-related financial reports, aligning financial data with programmatic outcomes.
· · Reconcile program and financial data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
· · Perform financial data entry, quality checks, and variance analyses, providing timely insights to the CFO.
· Collaboration & Reporting
· · Partner with CASA program staff to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.
· · Collaborate with the CFO, Director of Strategy and Impact, and the Executive Director on grant compliance and integrated reporting.
· · Communicate findings and recommendations to staff and leadership in a way that is clear, concise, and actionable.
· · Document processes, maintain accurate records, and serve as a resource for staff in data management best practices.
· · Actively engage in learning about the organization’s programs to ensure data analysis is contextually relevant and impactful.
Minimum Basic Qualifications
· · Demonstrated advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, conditional formatting, complex formulas, lookups, financial modeling, charts/graphs, Power Query, data modeling, and/or Power Pivot).
· · 2 years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, or program evaluation, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven setting.
· · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, spot errors, and tell a clear story with data.
· · Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to translate data into insights for non-technical audiences.
· · Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Desired Skills and Abilities
· Bachelors degree in Data Science, Finance, Statistics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
· Strong skills in data cleaning, quality control, and error checking, with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
· Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
· Demonstrated ability to analyze and present data for both technical and non-technical audiences, including staff, leadership, and funders.
· Familiarity with budgeting, cost allocations, or nonprofit financial reporting processes.
· Strong interest in child welfare, nonprofit organizations, or the intersection of program and financial data.
· Experience with dashboard tools (Excel dashboards, Tableau, or Power BI) and the ability to enhance reporting systems.
· Certifications in Excel or data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel Expert, Microsoft Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
