- Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour

Join the Climate Applications team at DPIRD and use your data skills to support real-time climate monitoring, forecasting, and drought coordination. Help shape the NSW Enhanced Drought Information System (EDIS) and contribute to high-profile reports like the State Seasonal Update.

What you’ll do:
- Maintain and enhance EDIS codebase and architecture
- Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data accuracy
- Build and manage data pipelines for Power BI dashboards
- Support climate projects using Python, R, and Matlab
- Respond to internal and external data requests
What we’re looking for:
- Skilled coder with experience in scientific computing (Python, R, Matlab)
- Strong data visualisation skills (Power BI)
- Passion for climate resilience and evidence-based insights
- Experience in agricultural/natural systems modelling and Linux environments
Essential requirements:
- Post graduate degree in Science, Geographic Information Systems, Agricultural Science, Computer Science or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
