Service Foods is seeking a strategic, hands-on leader with a passion for delivering measurable business impact through data and business intelligence (BI) solutions.

As our Data & BI Lead, you'll play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and optimising BI tools to align with business objectives.

Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role:

You will lead the development of our data strategy and oversee the implementation of BI tools, collaborating with teams across Sales, Procurement, Customer Service, Operations, and Finance. Your expertise in data analytics and BI will support informed decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a data-driven culture. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to deliver impactful data-driven solutions. You will report to the Head of IT, based at our National Support Office in Mangere, South Auckland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of a data strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data for improved performance and decision-making.
• Implement scalable data architecture and governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and security.
• Promote a data-driven culture, educating teams on analytics for better decision-making.
• Develop and maintain BI dashboards to provide real-time insights into key business metrics.
• Work with various teams to integrate data insights into daily operations.
• Leverage data visualisation tools to present actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Continuously analyse business data to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and improved decision-making.
• Integrate BI tools with operational systems to enhance reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Utilise project management, collaboration, and automation tools to streamline data processes and reporting

He kōrero mōu: About you:

You will have -

• a Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years' experience in data analytics, BI, or data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, and skilled in SQL, Python, or R.
• Strong experience in data pipelines, ETL processes, and data governance.
• Expertise in predictive analytics and data visualisation techniques.
• Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
