Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our data centre infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Duties

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Ethernet cabling.
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of CCTV systems, VoIP telecommunication setups, and other data centre hardware.
• Assist with network installation projects, ensuring adherence to schematics and technical specifications.
• Perform equipment repair and maintenance on servers, switches, routers, and other hardware components using hand tools.
• Support electrical systems related to data centre operations, including wiring and circuit troubleshooting.
• Document network configurations, schematics, and system layouts accurately for future reference.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues swiftly while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience with computer networking concepts such as Ethernet, Cisco routers, VoIP systems, and network installation procedures.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems including CCTV, Avaya systems, and schematics interpretation.
• Practical skills in equipment repair, electrical work, and the use of hand tools.
• Familiarity with Juniper network devices and general computer hardware maintenance.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics effectively.
• Experience working within a data centre or similar environment is desirable.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• Relevant electrical or telecommunication qualifications are advantageous but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a high-performance data centre environment while expanding their technical expertise in networking and telecommunications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
