As a Data Engineering Specialist , you will join our dynamic Data & Infrastructure team , where we are dedicated to empowering the business with self-service tools, robust data foundations, and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with functional teams across all areas of the Satair organization. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, partnering with business analysts and domain experts to provide technological insights, define data standards, conduct diagnostics, and apply advanced analytics to optimize processes and maximize value for our customers, as well as making sure the underlying infrastructure and pipelines are running smoothly and as effective as possible.

Our team is truly global, reflecting Satair’s international footprint with colleagues and offices all across the globe. This means you will work in small, agile, cross-functional teams, focused on delivering practical, high-impact solutions side-by-side with the business.

Task and responsibilities:

• Improve and maintain our key pipelines running on the Airbus Skywise platform – a customized version of Palantir Foundry. Main tasks will be focusing on optimisation, automation and improving the backend pipelines and flows.

• Support the business with in-depth data analysis and experimentation to uncover valuable business insights and support data-driven decision-making.

• Engage with functional teams to understand end-to-end processes, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities for improvement through data and emerging technologies.

• Translate analysis into actionable outcomes by developing automated tools, visual dashboards, reports, or workflows that enhance productivity and business value.

• Design and deliver Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to quickly test, validate, and address critical business challenges.

• Act as a coach and advisor to cross-functional teams, guiding them on data quality improvement plans, and supporting them in developing their own MVPs and analytics use cases.

We are looking for a dynamic, business-savvy individual who is passionate about data and technology, with a strong drive to deliver impactful results through collaboration and innovation.

• You are a quick learner, passionate about your work and driven to get things done with a collaborative way of working.

• You bring a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset—comfortable with rapid experimentation and iteration when building digital products and tools.

• You understand the intersection of data and business processes and are passionate about solving real-world industrial and operational challenges.

• Robust coding abilities (Python, SQL, Java) & experience in working with APIs, algorithms, data structures would be a plus.

• Experience with DevOps tools / modern cloud stack & practices would be a plus.

• Experience working with Data Mesh principles such as decentralized data ownership, domain-aligned data products, and self-serve data infrastructure would be a strong plus.

• Prior experience with Patantir Foundry would be a big plu

• A university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.

• 3–5 years of experience in an analytics, data science, or similar role within a complex business environment.

• Strong knowledge of English, both orally and in writing
