Your new role

We are looking for an experienced data regulation expert (m/f/x) with a solid experience with GDPR and good understanding of data regulations such as NIS2, AI Act, etc. for our growing Global Data Regulation Team responsible for our global data regulation programme, controls and processes covering more than 35 countries globally. As our new Data Regulation Business Partner, you will be part of a diverse and dedicated team who enjoys working together. Your new colleagues

The position has international reach and is located in the Global Data Regulation Team who drives, develops, and monitors compliance with our Global Data Regulation Programme across 35 countries.

You will be part of a team consisting of dedicated colleagues with backgrounds in compliance and data protection. Here you will be an important player in the work of ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection legislation in Germany and Central Europe.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be
:

  • Support implementation of global and regional data regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, NIS2, AI Act and other emerging legislation
  • Maintenance of a solid compliance setup within data protection: You will contribute to the maintenance of internal data protection policies, procedures and processes, the preparation and maintenance of documentation (records, risk assessments, etc.)
  • Conducting data privacy compliance reviews and audit activities and support in reporting the gaps to the Management on legal compliance status and associated risks
  • Work closely with Information Security teams to ensure an integrated control and risk response strategy
  • Being key subject matter expert in the Global Data Regulation Team providing advice on data regulatory matters, providing expert guidance on compliance with data protection laws and data regulations, and requirements and managing risks.

About you

  • A master’s degree in law, or a degree combined with a CIPP/E certification is required
  • At least 5+ years’ experience supporting data privacy activities, preferably within an international organisation
  • Solid legal knowledge and hands-on experience with GDPR, knowledge of other privacy and data regulations is a plus
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. This includes the ability to explain complex legal points to employees and managers with varying degrees of experience with legal matters
  • To be methodical and thorough and to be able to keep a clear mind in a busy and dynamic environment
  • To be able to prioritize tasks in a fast paced, agile working environment with quick turnaround times and meet deadlines
  • Professional proficiency in English verbally and in writing as our corporate language is English
  • Fluent German skills – in writing and speech
  • To enjoy working with different cultures in a global environment
