As a Data Scientist, you will get the opportunity to work on a wide variety of problems, such as Search and Recommendations, that directly impact the success of our merchants. You will develop AI & Machine-learning based solutions to deliver value and innovation to the Nosto e-commerce platform. As part of Nosto, you will collaborate closely with data engineers and data scientists within the Data and AI team.

We operate in a low-hierarchy, politics-free, and collaborative engineering environment where solving real customer problems is our top priority. Our technology stack leverages behavioral data, deep integrations, machine learning, and automated workflows, allowing brands to create fully personalized commerce experiences at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Work within our machine learning research and development cycles to directly deliver new AI capabilities to our customers
• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers and other data scientists to transform ideas and concepts into robust AI-driven solutions for our customers.
• Implementing best practices in ML engineering and research, ensuring our models and solutions remain innovative and effective.

Requirements:

• Industry working experience in a relevant role (3+ years)
• MSc. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence or related field
• Solid experience in working with Python (beyond Jupyter Notebook), and SQL
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as Pytorch, HuggingFace or Scikit-learn.
• A solid understanding of Machine learning and Deep learning models, such as the transformer architecture
• Experience working with MLOps pipelines and technologies such as AWS Sagemaker
• Fluency in English

What we appreciate:

• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models: agentic workflows, RAG, integrating LLMs into production environments, inference, and pre-training/fine-tuning methodologies
• Experience with distributed systems with large volumes of data
• Familiarity integrating and working with data warehouses and data processing pipelines (e.g. Clickhouse, Spark, S3, Airflow, etc.)
