We have an opportunity for a Data Scientist to join the Connected Data, AI, and Analytics team in the SMG GOS organization, supporting the Intel Partner Alliance. The team supports thousands of Intel customers and business models, from Distributors to System Integrators, OEMs, ODMs, and more. This role will support Intel's investment in driving business unit priorities, technology transitions, and revenue growth.


Results are achieved by:

  • Using predictive models, statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop software, algorithms, and applications to apply mathematics to data, perform large-scale experimentation, and build data-driven apps to translate data into intelligence, solve various business problems, and enable business strategy.
  • Assists business with casual inferences and observations with finding patterns and relationships in data and facilitating the flow of information to drive decisions.
  • The team relies heavily on data and analytics, and this role will be critical in supporting sales processes, tracking key performance indicators, and rebate programs.

This global role based in Santa Clara will best suit a candidate comfortable handling large datasets with an analytical background who is keen to learn about the Intel Partner Alliance.

A successful candidate:

  • Will bring ideas about how artificial intelligence and machine learning can create efficiency opportunities and increase our competitiveness.
  • Create Power BI dashboards to visualize trends and insights to help shape investment decisions in Intel's largest customers
  • Identify trends in datasets and collaborate with management to turn data into valuable insights to shape business unit decisions
  • Create compelling quality-oriented business processes and data flows to ensure accuracy in our output to leaders.
  • Running independent experiments to test AI and ML theories, and coaching others to think like a scientist.


A successful candidate must demonstrate:

  • Strong understanding of internal business segment stakeholders and possess strong written and communication skills.
  • Typically requires expertise in relational database structures, research methods, machine learning, Cloud based technologies, Big Data technologies analytics packages scripting languages, programing languages


Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration sponsorship.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, data science or any related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with:
  • Microsoft Office Applications: Excel, Power Pivot, DAX, VBA, Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, or similar tools
  • To run SQL queries and data mining
  • Data exploration, modeling, and visualization
  • Working in a cross-functional team with different time zones


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in any of the following:
  • Microsoft Azure, Snowflake and Data Bricks, Python
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Project Management Experience
  • AI and GenAI technologies
  • Developing LLMs
  • Salesforce.com

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $136,380.00-$192,540.00
  • Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
