Join TOMRA Food as a Data Scientist specialising in deep learning and computer vision. In this role, you will help lead the business on a journey in deep learning and data science. You will drive innovation by developing, testing, and implementing cutting-edge deep learning and computer vision algorithms. Your primary focus will be enhancing real-time food sorting performance through advanced algorithms while also developing predictive models for machine reliability, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test and implement deep learning and computer vision algorithms for real-time food sorting performance.
• Build predictive models and algorithms for machine reliability, predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.
• Analyse and explore large and complex data sets using data analytics techniques and statistical modelling.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and develop data-driven solutions.
• Utilise and optimise real-time data processing and data visualisation tools.
• Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Implement MLOps to help build, test and deploy machine learning models effectively.

About You:

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Proven proficiency with machine-learning tools, application programming languages, and frameworks (Python, SQL)
• Strong experience with deep learning, computer vision and data analytics techniques.
• Ability to extract meaningful business insights from data and identify the stories behind the patterns.
• Experience with code revision control like GIT.
• Experience with MLOps tools, such as Azure ML or ClearML.
• Passion for prototyping new products and solutions with potential industry-transforming capabilities.
• Stay updated on emerging AI developments and their potential impact the food sorting industry
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, creative and collaborative.
