Position Overview
Our Day Habilitation program in Wall Township is seeking compassionate, motivated, and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in a structured and engaging daytime setting.
In this role, you will provide hands-on support while helping individuals build independence, develop daily living and social skills, and actively participate in their community. We are looking for team members who bring patience, positivity, and a proactive mindset to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where individuals can thrive and reach their personal goals.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support based on each participant’s goals, abilities, and level of care.
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, and mobility support as needed.
- Promote independence by teaching and reinforcing communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Implement behavior support and behavior management strategies to encourage positive outcomes and maintain a supportive environment.
- Facilitate structured recreational, educational, and community-based activities tailored to individual interests and needs.
- Work collaboratively with the Program Instructor, BCBA, and Executive Director to implement meaningful daily programming and individualized support plans.
- Monitor and support safe transportation procedures, including community outings, arrival/departure routines, and oversight of personal belongings.
- Transport participants to community activities or appointments using company vehicles when required.
- Administer medications in accordance with approved protocols and agency policies when applicable.
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation regarding participant progress, behaviors, incidents, and skill development.
- Collect and record data to monitor individual goals and support planning.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with participants and interdisciplinary team members.
- Collaborate with coworkers to ensure efficient scheduling, organization, and daily program operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, autism, behavioral health needs, or related populations.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to pass all required background screenings and compliance checks.
- Knowledge of behavior support strategies, special education principles, or community-based support services preferred.
- Experience with data collection and documentation systems preferred.
- Medication administration experience is a plus.
