Daycare Assistant Teacher

Responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing lesson plan of activities that will promote the spiritual, social, and emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child enrolled in accordance with the Bright From the Start licensing agency. All employees are required to have CPR/First Aid Training within the first (30days) and ten (10) hour Health & Safety Training within 90 days of hire to remain employed.

Qualifications:

• Eighteen (18) or older
• Must provide a clear Comprehensive fingerprint letter (set up at time of interview)
• Preferred but not required: 15 hours ECCE courses; TCC in Early Childhood Basics, Child Development Specialist, Infant Toddler Care Specialist, early childhood Exceptionalities, or Early Childhood Program Administrator. (certificate required); TCD in Early Childhood Education or Child development; Associate in Early Childhood; Bachelor or Masters in any field.
• Ability to relate positively to young children, parents, and staff.
• Must have strong communication skills (orally & written)
• Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the center.
• Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team and supervision skills.

Physical Demands:

• Be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Ability to walk, squat/kneel, sit on floor, see, hear and speak.
• Be able to raise objects from a lower to higher location or moving objects horizontally from one location to another.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $11.50 per hour
