Job Description: Role & Responsibilities Overview:

• Create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms
• Assist in the roll-out of new SQL based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software
• Follow database best practices to improve the operational reporting environment while focusing on resolving problems raised by team members, stakeholders and end users
• Implement ETL and other data movement requirements using SQL, SSIS
• Develops original and/or complex code in T-SQL/ SQL, create/optimize SSIS packages
• Design and develop new SQL code as part of an ETL process
• Improve SQL procedures, Window services / .NET programs which transform and load data
• Develop stored procedures functions using T-SQL/SQL
• Responsible for data profiling, source-target mappings, ETL development, SQL tunings and optimization, testing and implementation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others, including situations where you may disagree with people

Qualifications: Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
• 5+ years in insurance analytics with Llyods Business, London/Bermuda Market (Commercial & Specialty Lines)
• Must have advance SQL, SSIS knowledge
• Good to have experience in reporting tools including PBI/Tableau/SSAS/SSRS etc.
• Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
