SPAR Eastgate, an award-winning convenience retailer in Cork, is on the hunt for a vibrant and hard-working Deli Assistant to join our team at SPAR, Little Island.

You’d be joining our lively fresh food/deli department, crafting delicious sandwiches, salads, and meals daily, all while being part of a warm, friendly team.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a part-time role (20–25 hours per week). The applicant must be available either between the hours of 7:00 am – 12:00 pm or 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm, for a minimum of three days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare delicious, food products in our fresh food department.
• Provide support to the management team in the day-to-day operations of the department.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and Food Safety procedures.
• Prepare customer orders, both hot and cold.
• Keep the fresh food area squeaky clean and maintained, following our Company Food Safety Policy.
• Dazzle our customers with exceptional service and a smile.
• Handle customer queries with efficiency and professionalism.
• Embrace any other exciting duties assigned by store management.
