Job Title: Mental Health CNA/CMA – Dementia Care Specialist
Location: Daytona Beach, FL Area
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Compensation: $16–$18/hour + Bonus Potential (up to $5,000/month)

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) to join our team as a Mental Health Dementia Care Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting patients with dementia and other mental health conditions, ensuring they receive quality, individualized care in both facility and office settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities with a focus on dementia and behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including goal setting and progress monitoring.
- Communicate daily with patients, POAs, facility staff, and families to coordinate care.
- Conduct medication reviews and ask in-depth questions related to mental health diagnoses.
- Utilize psychiatric and dementia-related assessment scales.
- Schedule follow-up visits for patients requiring additional support.
- Monitor adherence to care plans and evaluate effectiveness.
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support Dementia Care initiatives.
- Visit patients independently in nursing homes and complete charting in the office setting.
Requirements
- Active CNA or CMA certification in Florida (required).
- Experience or strong interest in dementia care and geriatric mental health.
- Knowledge of Chronic Care Management and Behavioral Health Integration is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and strong computer skills.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a focus on dignity and respect.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $16–$18 per hour
- Bonus potential: Up to $5,000 per month
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
- No weekends required
