One of Ireland’s largest and most established demolition contractors is seeking a qualified Demolition Engineer / Estimator to join its expanding team. This is a key position contributing to the delivery of some of Ireland’s most complex and high-profile demolition projects.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will play an integral role in the preparation, analysis, and submission of detailed cost estimates for major demolition works across commercial, industrial, and civil engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for demolition projects
  • Assessment of drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Pricing of works including demolition, asbestos removal, bulk excavation, remediation, and civil engineering elements
  • Liaising with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Participation in procurement and subcontractor evaluation processes
  • Site visits and risk assessments where required
  • Identifying technical and logistical challenges (e.g. adjacent structures, live utilities, transport infrastructure such as Luas lines)
  • Supporting the commercial team through tender clarifications and negotiations

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating, engineering, or a similar role (demolition or construction sector preferred)
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline (advantageous)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict tender deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
  • Full driving licence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €40,000.00-€60,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • estimating, engineering, or a similar role: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Work authorisation:

  • Ireland (preferred)

Work Location: In person
