We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant with HARP certification to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient practice operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment specializing in general dentistry utilizing advanced dental technology and EHR software system.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while maintaining proper radiation safety standards.
- Record vital signs and medical history information accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems .
- Manage patient medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and dental terminology to promote oral health awareness.
- Maintain dental supplies inventory and sterilize instruments according to infection control guidelines.
- Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist.
Requirements
- Valid HARP certification required; experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix, is preferred.
- Proven experience in dental assisting within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays, including 3D imaging, and familiarity with medical imaging technology.
- Excellent communication skills combined with professionalism to provide compassionate patient care in a team-oriented environment. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$24.15 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
