Job description:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support to help ensure an efficient, welcoming, and high-quality experience for our patients. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental practice.

Dental Receptionist:

  • Welcome and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
  • Verify insurance information and process patient payments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update personal and medical information.
  • Coordinate with the dental team to ensure an efficient daily schedule.
  • Manage recall and appointment reminder systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.

Dental Assistant:

  • Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs
  • Prepare dental materials and instruments for procedures.
  • Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education.
  • Monitor inventory and restock clinical supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and infection prevention protocols.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dental office is an asset.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
  • Experience with dental practice management software
  • Strong computer and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Dental Assisting education or certification preferred.
