Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic orofacial pain practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring that the dental office runs smoothly. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and available.
- Capture dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Maintain aseptic technique to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Manage patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed, including handling phone calls and patient inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the practice.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry.
- Experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
- Experience with TMJ, orofacial pain, and/or dental sleep medicine is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
