Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and personable Treatment Coordinator with at least 1 year of experience. Smile Club Dental is currently open 1 day a week so we're looking for someone to help out on Fridays and and Saturdays for 6-10 hours per day.
This vital role involves managing patient treatment plans, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a seamless patient experience within our dental or medical practice.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience with electronic medical records and dental office operations. A background in healthcare administration, including dental or medical office experience, is preferred. The Treatment Coordinator will serve as a bridge between patients and clinical staff, facilitating treatment acceptance and providing exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients clearly and compassionately
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-ups efficiently
- Manage patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix
- Assist with verifying insurance benefits and explaining financial options to patients
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely delivery of care
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans
- Support human resources functions related to onboarding new staff or training team members
- Uphold compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards
- Participate in practice meetings and contribute to process improvements for better patient care
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with Dentrix or other electronic medical records systems is advantageous
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance processes is beneficial
- Supervisory experience or background in human resources can be a plus
- Experience working in hospital or acute care environments, including nursing or healthcare administration, is desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach toward patients and team members
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
Work Location: In person
