Dependable Care Assistant / Pa - Flexible Part Time

Dependable part time female PAs / Carers needed to assist me at my home in the 7 Dials / Brunswick area in Hove.

Can you turn up in all weathers ? As a care assistant can you be depended on?

Can you make a commitment of at least 7 months, preferably 1 year?

We will work in a peaceful atmosphere. Due to the fact that I have M.E. I prefer to be in a stress free, quiet environment so that I can rest.

• Near to Bus Stops - Easy for going in and out of Brighton and Hove
• Free parking available
• Weekday rates £16.75ph, weekend rates £18ph
• Part Time - 4 to 12 hours available

Morning or tea time - 2 hours per visit. Times are flexible: Possibility to fit me into your schedule before or after work perhaps. Eg: If you are an early morning person I don't mind an early morning visit.

Personal Care routines in the morning include assisting with washing, dressing, commode, basic food preparation including breakfast & lunch. Carers also assist me with communication (assisting me to communicate via telephone and email as required), housework as needed, also assistance with online shopping and shopping lists.

Teatime shifts - the care assistant tasks would include: Cooking my evening meal and assisting with communication, housework, assist with online shopping and shopping lists and a small amount of personal care.

About me: I’m a disabled 54 year old lady and my interests include assisted photography, assisted art, craft and Bible study. I have a speech disability, so I communicate by hand gestures and point to my communication sheet, menus and instructions. Care assistants usually learn my communication style with ease. I often require assistance with email, computer and phone. I am also a wheelchair user. I would benefit from a carer who is calm yet attentive.

A person centred approach is essential.

Must be able to wear a face mask and gloves. I will provide PPE.
