After School Childcare Deputy Manager required for our School Aged Childcare service in Tuam, Galway City.

Seeking qualified, passionate individuals to join our small, very friendly, and fun childcare team, 5 mornings and 5 afternoons per week.

We are based within a local primary school and are seeking a qualified, passionate individual to join our small, very friendly, and fun childcare team, 5 mornings and 5 afternoons per week.

As the Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for the children in your care. Your leadership skills and passion for the children will contribute to the growth and development of the children who attend the afterschool breakfast club and afterschool afternoon club.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for developing, delivering, and managing the daily operations of the afterschool to ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for children, in line with all regulatory requirements.
• Ability to take responsibility to put into effect all company policies, procedures, health and safety/risk assessments as stipulated in the Afterschool Childcare Regulations
• Effective people and business management skills with the confidence and skills to cover all business aspects of the role where needed.
• Excellent knowledge of and ability to implement child protection policies in line with Children First requirements and guidelines.
• Lead the development and evaluation of activities conducive to culturally sensitive learning environments.
• Work well as part of the team
• Report to the Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €15.50-€17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week

Additional pay:

• Bonus pay
• Performance bonus

Experience:

• Childcare: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• minimum childcare level 5 qualification (preferred)
• B Driving Licence (preferred)
