As one of the last remaining family owned, one location, furniture stores in the area, Gladhill Furniture is celebrating their 110th year anniversary this year. We are the oldest furniture store in Maryland!
Our staff does not 'wait' on customers, they develop relationships to better understand WHY the customer is NEEDING new furniture.
We identify and solve their problems, BEFORE we can sell them furniture.
WHY are you looking, not WHAT are you looking for.
Housecalls are a major part of our business and are expected.
We offer a great array of product, custom design and a friendly/knowledgeable team. Professional dress is required, although ties are optional.
Gladhill Furniture is looking for Sales/Design Consultants that embrace the following:
*FANTASTIC ATTITUDE and personality (I can teach ANYBODY how to sell, but I cannot give you a personality!) NO NEGATIVE NELLIES.
*Willingness to learn and listen to become the BEST they can be
*WEEKENDS & FURNITURE HOLIDAYS are REQUIRED
(Our slow months are April, June and December)
*Ability to plan for (written) commission sales and follow up on ALL clients to achieve
monthly and yearly budgets/goals set by management and YOU!
*Take initiative to network/develop relationships outside of showroom to broaden your
skill set and earn future business
*Be a team player!
*Prior Furniture Sales not required, but welcomed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
