Design Engineer

Role

As a Design Engineer, you will support the design, planning, and execution of industrial engineering projects focused on advanced refractory systems. You will collaborate closely with different teams and contribute to projects involving 3D modeling, technical drawings, and project budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Material calculations and consisting Bill of Materials
• Preparing other engineering related documents (Heat Transfer Calculations, Heat Expansion Calculations, Dry-out procedures)
• 3D-printing
• Technical Sales support
• Technical Drawings (Autocad, Solidworks, Creo)
  • RFQ drawings and visualizations
  • Moulds for on-site casting solutions
  • Preshape ceramic elements
  • Steel structures and accessories
• Design budget estimation
• Collaboration, written and verbal communication with other engineering teams in europe and segment specialists
• Participating project meetings in Request For Quote/Contract phases
• On site project visits
• Contact with suppliers and OEM refractory specialists
• Promotion of 3D-printing in refractory projects
• Workshop supervisory (following basic KPI’s and keeping track of prefabricated element projects)
Use of client Document Management Systems

Requirements

Education and Experience requirements:

• A degree from Technical University/University of Applied Sciences or studies at a final stage (Industrial, Construction, Mechanical engineering or similar)
• A general technical understanding from structures and materials
• Experienced in using different CAD programs and 3D-modelling (Eg. Autocad, Solidworks, Creo)
• General understanding of ERP systems (SAP)
• Experienced in using MS Office tools
• A fluent Finnish and English (mandatory)
Readiness for travel mainly locally
