DESIGN MANAGER - INTERIOR ARCHITECT

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Design Manager has extensive experience working in project management, specifically on luxury residential and commercial projects. This position will play an integral role in the
success of our company, and will manage projects ranging from small to large in scope.
This role requires proficiency in team management, consultant coordination, time
management, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite. We require this candidate to be a team player and consider the wellbeing of the Studio as a whole in their daily approach to the job.
A practical, positive and problem solving attitude is required.
Please note that this position will be located at our headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. Occasional travel may be required depending on project location.

Education/Registration Requirements

• Bachelor of Architecture and/or Interior Design/Master of Architecture and/or Interior Design (professional degree required)
• 5-10+ years of Architecture/ Design experience, specifically in luxury residential and

commercial design

Required:

• Knowledge of architecture/ design principles and practices, uses advanced techniques, and is responsible for finished plans, specifications, and material approval
• Supervision of a small staff of in-house colleagues and subcontractors
• Working independently regarding interior design and interior architectural methods and complexities
• Demonstrated ability directing and managing consultants – joiners, M&E, decorative etc… to assure their work adheres to project design goals
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite - additionally, proficiency in Sketchup and Wrike
• Established ability to build and maintain great client relationships throughout all phases of the architectural process, keeping in close contact with clients as work progresses, and putting a dedicated emphasis on overall homeowner/client satisfaction

This position will:

• Serve as the primary client contact for Grove & Co on allocated projects
• Be accountable for project deadlines, as well as team performance and overall project performance (i.e. timeline, budget, client satisfaction)
• Be responsible for project budgeting and performance
• Lead a team of interior architects, designers, and assistants as well as outside consultants for every project, including detailed coordination of prime consultants
• Be responsible for relaying project details to SCS/Grove & Co Team, as well as report on each status during a weekly meeting with staff
• Contribute to the design integrity of the business overall, share learnings, and promote creative growth within the team at senior and junior level
