Ascend Ministries has an opening for a 3rd shift LPN detox nurse!

Ascend Ministries offers a Christian faith based long term rehabilitation program, and state licensed detox, short term treatment and outpatient programs for individuals struggling with substance use disorder.

The 3rd Shift LPN Nurse will be responsible for:

• Patient care supervision working primarily in a drug detoxification capacity.
• Assist in assessment and medical triage of patients.
• Assist in identification of medical, emotional, and social needs of the patient throughout the treatment process.
• Assess medical and psychological problems and report significant findings to the physician and appropriate counselor.
• Complete initial medical and nutritional assessment, and chemical dependency and suicide history along with charting patient care.
• Monitoring self-medication program and provide appropriate education to staff and clients in the treatment program.
• Administer TB tests to clients and staff in accordance with PA Department of Health.·

Job Requirements

• Proof of negative TB
• Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job
• Previous work in ER or other high activity center a plus
• Education: LPN (licensed practical nurse) or RN (registered nurse) license in good standing
• Must support the Christian mission and values of the ministry.
• If in recovery, 2 years substance free preferred
• Comfortable being a Christian mentor to others

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
