About the Role
Cedar Coast Capital Corporation (“Cedar Coast”) has a permanent, full-time opportunity for an capable Development Administrator. This role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of all aspects of Cedar Coast’s developments, including industrial, residential multifamily, and land development. The Development Administrator will work directly with all members of Cedar Coast’s development team as well as collaboratively with internal team members including finance, legal, and business development and will report directly to the Senior Development Manager.
Key Areas of Accountability:
Development & Project Related tasks
- Provide support in the form of coordinating deliverables and tasks across both residential and industrial development projects.
- Create and maintain tracking logs for major deliverables and milestone dates across a portfolio of projects.
- Support the Development Managers and Management Team in preparing and analyzing budgets and schedules.
- Contribute to the preparation of recurring project updates reports for the internal team as well as external stakeholders.
- Assist in the coordination and updating of project maps, site plans, and images.
- Perform market research and consolidate summaries for internal/executive teams.
- Record, code, and review incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a high degree of respect, trust, and confidence with all internal and external partners.
- Attend weekly project status meetings, distributing meeting minutes and action items.
- Actively ensure that project documents / deliverables are well-organized, tagged, and archived on a continuous basis.
- Conduct site visits when and as required, typically not more frequently than on a bi-weekly basis. Travel (<10%) within Canada may be required.
Acquisitions & Due Diligence
- Ensure efficient coordination of the due diligence process by tracking due diligence tasks, timelines, and updates between developer, contractor, and third parties.
- Support the Acquisitions team in analyzing prospective development sites.
Municipal Securities
- Manage, track, and recover performance securities held by third parties (typically municipalities).
Operations Efficiency
- Collaborate with Development Managers and internal team members to continuously identify process improvement initiatives and opportunities to improve Cedar Coasts’ project management framework.
- Create, monitor, maintain, and enhance various internal dashboards.
- Provide support to the Director, Development on various initiatives as required.
Investor Updates
- Export and edit construction timelapse videos for inclusion in investor updates.
Tenant Coordination
- Assist Development Managers in working with Brokers and Tenants/Purchasers on build-out requirements.
- Work cross-functionally with internal team members, monitoring and managing lease details, the associated buildings, and supporting tenant relationships.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a Development Administrator, Development/Project Coordinator, or Development Manager, preferably with real estate or construction experience.
- Post-secondary education in real estate, business, finance, or other related field is an asset.
- Must be exceptionally disciplined and organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with project schedules / scheduling processes.
- Familiarity with scope management and change control.
- Comfortable holding self and others accountable to deadlines and commitments.
- Proven time-management skills and the ability to adapt, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong sense of urgency and driven to produce timely results.
- Customer-centric mindset and committed to quality of work and supporting a wider team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work both collaboratively as well as independently.
- Has a desire to learn and grow, building new skills and experience as part of professional development.
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams. Experience in Microsoft Power BI is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
