Summary

The Diamond Setter is an entry-level position with Pilot Diamond Tools within our Bit Setting Team. They will be required to perform duties that require detailed and precise movement with their hands, attention to fine detail, and the ability to focus on the same task for long periods of time.

Job Duties

  • Set carbide inserts and/or diamonds into graphite moulds.
  • Perform quality checks according to the product specification and work order.
  • Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team.
  • Assure tools are in clean and proper condition for usage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Communication Skills
  • Good organisational, time management, and prioritising skills
  • A pre-employment medical assessment will be required.
  • Able to work from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
  • Overtime as required.

Working Conditions

  • Extended periods of sitting.
  • Working in a busy manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Minor exposure to dust, graphite, and metal powders.
  • Full-time position with regular working hours, typically in a manufacturing facility.
  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
  • Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting tools or machine parts.
