MBQ Long Term Care, a 128-bed long-term care home, is an exciting new project that will be dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents in partnership with UniversalCare Canada Inc., our family members, valued employees, and community partners. Residents will be admitted in the Spring of 2026.
Our team is currently hiring for a new vacancy, a permanent full-time Dietary Aide.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-Supports with the implementation and maintenance of quality risk management activities and conducts audits.
-Supports effective and efficient procurement and supply control procedures, completes all dietary documentation and ensures the department is stocked with supplies for the next meal.
-Follows the plan of care, observes and reports any substantial findings, and or changes.
-Assists in maintaining and cleaning dietary areas and equipment, reports equipment concerns
-Prepares dining areas by setting tables, filling condiment containers, etc.
-Prepares and provides resident food and fluid textures according to the plan of care, one course at a time.
-Transfers food and beverages to appropriate carts and serves food and beverages.
-Plates food according to the plan of care and the preference of the resident.
-Clears all tables, cleans dining room and server areas.
-Receives, labels and stores food supplies in proper storage area, notifies Cook when inventory is low.
-Washes all dishes and utensils after meal service, organizes clean dishware and utensils.
-Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen, food storage area, equipment, counters, etc. and removes garbage.
-Prepares setup for tray service and delivers snack carts to residents.
-Porters residents, as required and assists with safe lifts and transfers of residents, as appropriate.
-Participates as a member for assigned committees, attends meetings and educations sessions.
-Communicates with related Long-term care Health Agencies to promote coordination and/or planning long-term care services.
-Ensures compliance with organizational standards, the collective agreement, as applicable and all relevant regulations, and/or legislative requirements and strategic initiatives.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Successful completion of an accredited Food Services Worker Program or currently enrolled and/or dietary experience and knowledge relevant to the position.
-Completion of Food Handling Certificate.
-Knowledge of dietary equipment, best practices and procedures.
-Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions in English.
-Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when assisting residents, family members and visitors.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong relationship building abilities.
-Proficiency with computerized documentation systems.
-Satisfactory vulnerable sector check and TB test.
