We are seeking a Digital Cinema Technician with experience in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of modern digital projection systems.
This is a specialised role requiring deep technical proficiency across integrated digital, computer‑based and server‑driven projection platforms. The successful candidate will have hands‑on experience gained in high‑volume, technologically advanced cinema environments, where exposure to the full spectrum of contemporary digital cinema technologies is standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot state‑of‑the‑art digital projection systems
- Configure and optimise complex digital projection networks
- Diagnose and resolve hardware–software interoperability issues
- Ensure seamless delivery of encrypted digital cinema content
- Programme and schedule weekly film content
- Research, view and critically evaluate international films
- Liaise and negotiate with film distributors in Ireland, the UK, Mainland Europe and the USA
- Manage content security protocols, release windows and licensing arrangements
Candidate Requirements
- Experience with modern digital cinema projection systems
- Proven ability to independently manage complex digital and server‑based projection environments
- Strong technical problem‑solving skills
- Familiarity with global film distribution practices
- Experience working with encrypted content and digital cinema delivery workflows
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €40,000.00 per year
