You’ll help us to get the balance right – not least so we can continue investing in an airport that leads the world.
As a Digital Content Editor, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a customized and personalized experience through content for Heathrow.com and the Heathrow App. You will prioritize consumer interests in all decision-making processes while also promoting other non-passenger priorities in a balanced manner. This multifaceted role requires expertise in content creation, digital marketing, copywriting, branding, public relations, page design, and SEO.
The Digital Content Editor need to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in technology and help drive future digital strategies to ensure remains a world leader in digital marketing and communications.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC).
- Delivering the right content to hit our targets, whether commercial, corporate or customer service. This includes identifying the right content for the audience, writing, and editing copy, creating imagery, working up technical implementations, building pages and ensuring content is always fresh and accurate.
- Developing information architecture to enable usability, search engine optimisation and best practice maintenance. Confidently operating content management systems including Adobe AEM Content Management System(preferably) in a multi-user enterprise environment.
- Understanding and implementing digital marketing strategy and initiatives, helping to define technical requirements, and operate marketing systems ranging from customer loyalty programmes to digital advertising to analysis of user statistics. Create jointed up plans that work with our SEO and Paid media approach.
- Implementing page designs, building in new functionality, or deciding on future directions. Ensure all our products meet strict targets on usability, accessibility, and web standards.
- Working with the customer team to create and test propositions and content to improve the experience.
- Proven digital editing and visual design skills.
- Communications/Marketing background essential; digital technology and user interface knowledge an advantage.
- Excellent working knowledge of web standards, user experience design, accessibility and responsive web design.
- Solid experience with content management systems, personalisation and optimisation tools, particularly Adobe AEM CMS and analytics (particularly Adobe).
- Proven all-round knowledge of search engine optimisation, from content strategy to site and page structure. Must be up to speed with search term trends and changing requirements.
- Possesses drive, enthusiasm, and self-motivation, and is willing to actively engage and take initiative when necessary.
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Travel/aviation/retail industry background and knowledge would be useful but not essential.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow . Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
