As a Security Technical Specialist, you will work within a virtual team of sales, technical, partner and consulting resources to enhance the team capabilities for extended detection and response (XDR), zero trust, cloud security, Microsoft Purview portfolio empowering our customers to protect, govern, and safeguard their sensitive data while also managing regulatory compliance requirements and maintaining customer & employee privacy.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

  • You will engage with customer technical decision makers and anticipate customer needs and issues proactively through data gathering.
  • Engage in partner sell-with scenarios by contributing to the facilitation of technical engagements and partnering with colleagues to manage the sales process as well as share competitive insights from customer sessions with colleagues and escalate/resolve competitive situations to influence compete strategies.
  • You will provide strategic, technical input based on Microsoft capability to contribute to strategy development, leveraging partner and internal teams.
  • You will identify and apply existing demonstration assets and oversees demonstrations (e.g., architectural design sessions [ADS], proof of concept [POC] sessions) of solutions based on specific Microsoft products through initial engagements. Leverages partner/customer teams as needed to prove capabilities and integration into customer environment. Reviews partner demonstrations and provides feedback to ensure alignment with Microsoft standards.
  • You will build your readiness plan and proactively identify learning gaps. Grows domain knowledge and practice expertise by communicating with customers, partners and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture.
  • You will conduct group training or one-to-many events (e.g., workshops, Webinars) or leverage existing scale enablement programs to present and educate customers and colleagues on the capabilities and benefits across Microsoft solutions/products.
  • You will monitor and respond to internal and external tech community posts, attend community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc., and act as a mentor for your technology area and contribute and participate in Customer Executive Briefing Center sessions.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Fluency in French is essential
  • Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms AND demonstrated technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field AND technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR equivalent experience.


Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
    • Certification in relevant (Microsoft or industry) technologies or disciplines (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).
    • Strategic thinking & execution. Ability to develop sales and business strategy options, while also being able to successfully execute plans and build strong relationships.
    • Excellent Communicator. Strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, financial acumen, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • High Performer. Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations and has the ability, characteristics, and determination to compete effectively against skilled and diverse competition.
  • Cloud Trust. Demonstrated knowledge of identity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance, including cloud and hybrid solutions required.
    • Technical breadth. Customer experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management; broad experience with Microsoft 365 Security and/or Azure Security products or equivalent solutions from other vendors.
    • Technical depth. Practical enterprise customer experience with configuration and implementation of Microsoft or other security & compliance solutions as well as competitive product knowledge (ex. CrowdStrike, Okta, Splunk, Palo Alto, Proofpoint, Google/Mandiant, Chronicle, Zscaler, Mimecast, VMware, Symantec and Others) required
    • Certification in Microsoft Security Ops Analyst Associate (SC-200) and/or Cybersecurity Architect expert (SC-100) required.
    • Certification among the following preferred: CEH, LPT, OSCP, GPEN, CISSP, CCSP, GSEC, CCIA, GSED, ECSA or GISP
  • Security practitioner. Experience and ability to explain key solutions and architectures for confidentiality, integrity and availability across multiple cybersecurity and compliance topics including endpoint detection and response, anti-malware, persistent threats, email security, user behavior and analytics, threat intelligence, threat hunting and forensics, information protection, application management, security management and/or auditing and governance required.
    • Identity practitioner. Experienced professional conversant in cloud-based identity and access management solutions as well as hybrid architectures and integration of cloud-based apps (SaaS) required.
