About us- Old MacDonald's Child Care (OMCC) is a purpose-built private childcare service in Orchard Hills (Erskine Park side).
OMCC has designed outdoor play environments that incorporate our natural rural surroundings and encourage all children to explore their senses while learning about the environment, sustainability, animals and growing and caring for plants.
This is a rare opportunity to work in suburbia on 6.5 acres with animals (cow, sheep, alpaca, pig, goats, rabbits and chickens), go on tractor/ trailer rides with the children and educate the children to develop skills to care for and nurture animals.
About the position- 1 full-time position. Previous experience as an effective Group Leader will help the successful applicant communicate, lead and oversee a team to complete observations, curriculum documents and the planning cycle to guide children to learn through play. A warm, friendly, flexible, can-do attitude will enable you to be an effective Group Leader with professional communication skills.
Educators work in partnership with colleagues, children, families and other professionals to share decision-making, engage in conversation and critical reflection about different theoretical and philosophical approaches to the pedagogy they adapt.

Positions Available
1- Diploma Full Time. 5 days per week.
Start Date- 13th January 2025
Essential Criteria
1. Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent that is approved by ACECQA.
2. Approved by ACECQA First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
3. Safe Food Handling certificate.
4. Child Protection statement of attainment for Identify and Report to Children and Young People at Risk.
5. Previous experience working with children 0-6 years (minimum 2 years of experience).
6. Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulation.
7. Demonstrated experience and involvement in the National Quality Standards, including the Quality Improvement Plan.
8. Demonstrated experience in reviewing and implementing an organisations philosophy, policies & procedures.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Demonstrated experience in completing observations and a planning cycle to implement the the Early Years Learning Framework.
11. Proven ability to be a productive team member and maintain teamwork.
12. Working knowledge and ability to implement Work Health and Safety Standards.
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
This position has been identified as child-related under Child Protection Laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, applicants need to provide OMCC with a valid copy of the WWCC number.
