Are you a passionate and dedicated Diploma qualified Educator looking to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives? Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) is seeking an enthusiastic Educator to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program.

About the Role:

As an Educator in our OSHC program, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds while being supported in your own professional journey. You will help create a vibrant, inclusive and safe environment where children thrive before and after school.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:
Diploma in Children’s Services or a degree in Primary/Early Childhood Education (required for the Diploma qualified position)
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT)
Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and/or My Time, Our Place
Understanding of the National Law, Regulations and Workplace Health & Safety requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
A genuine passion for child-led learning and supporting developmental needs

Responsibilities

In this exciting and important role you will enjoy undertaking the following responsibilities:

Creating a vibrant, inclusive and safe space where children can thrive
Leading engaging, play-based learning experiences both indoors and outdoors
Encouraging creativity, confidence and curiosity in every child
Building meaningful connections with children and families
Collaborating with a supportive and professional team to deliver high-quality care
Preparing and setting up engaging activities, including sport, art, drama, storytelling and creative experiences
Maintaining a safe and compliant environment at all times

CRCS is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young children and young people. As part of our commitment to child safeguarding, we require all employees to undergo relevant screening processes, including Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) checks and National Police Checks.

CRCS also requires all employees to:
Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
