Duties

• Provide direct personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Support individuals with disabilities by implementing care plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Assist clients in engaging in social activities and community involvement to promote independence and well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, behaviors, and any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care is provided.
• Utilize conflict management skills to address any issues that may arise during care provision.
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
• Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to client care and treatment.

Skills

• Strong background in patient care, particularly with individuals who have disabilities or developmental challenges.
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of case management principles and the ability to develop effective care plans.
• Familiarity with various systems used in healthcare settings for documentation and reporting.
• Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of clients.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
