Direct Support Professional - Day Services - Penn Yan

Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is currently seeking compassionate Caregivers, Health Aides, CNAs, and Direct Support Professionals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities during daytime hours. In this role, you'll support individuals primarily in community-based or habilitation settings-helping them build skills, engage in their communities, and grow toward greater independence. As a Direct Support Professional, you'll play a vital role in fostering confidence and positive self-esteem through respectful, encouraging, and supportive interactions, while always honoring each individual's rights and dignity. Pay Rate: $17.92-$18.67/hr.+ based on experience!

Direct Support Professional Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8 am -4 pm (Hours vary with occasional evenings and weekends as needed)

37.5 Hours per Week

Location: Yates County (Penn Yan, NY)

Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Duties:

Direct Support Professionals are truly the heart of Mozaic's mission, playing a hands-on role in helping individuals lead safe, healthy, and meaningful lives within the community. Driven by compassion and purpose, they provide essential day-to-day support-assisting with transportation, appointments, personal care, and daily routines-while carefully following care plans, medications, and guidelines to ensure each individual's well-being.

Beyond daily tasks, our Direct Support Professionals make a lasting impact by fostering independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging. They build genuine, trusting relationships grounded in empathy and respect, offering encouragement, emotional support, and stability. Working collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and case managers, they help create a coordinated, person-centered approach that meets each individual's unique needs.

Direct Support Professional Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Minimally one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities or an associate degree in human services or related field is preferred.

Valid Driver's License is required.
