A DDD Community-Based Support role typically involves assisting individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities. These positions are often found within organizations contracted by state Divisions of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), such as in New Jersey, Arizona, and other U.S. states
Key Responsibilities.
- Community Integration: Assist individuals in accessing community resources, including employment opportunities, recreational activities, and social services. faithcareus.com
- Crisis Intervention
- : Provide immediate support during emergencies, ensuring safety and connecting individuals to appropriate services. impactjobs.org
- Documentation and Compliance
: Maintain accurate records of services provided, ensuring compliance with DDD regulations and timely submission for billing purposes.Advocacy and Education: Educate individuals and families about available services and rights, advocating on their behalf to ensure access to necessary supports.Typical Qualifications:
Experience: At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related social services role.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: Depending on the state, certifications such as CPR/First Aid may be required.
: Offering DDD Community-Based Support services, including residential, employment, day services, personal care assistance, and behavioral support, aimed at promoting independence and inclusion for individuals with developmental disabilities.
