JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary
Leads and directs team providing integrated behavioral health/chemical dependency services, and collaborates with multidisciplinary care team working across the continuum. Participates with senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives. Strives to ensure member progress toward desired outcomes and contributes to overarching strategy to provide quality and cost-effective member care.
Essential Job Duties
- Serves as behavioral health subject matter expert (SME) and leader for enterprise and/or individual health plan(s) - advising, implementing and managing enterprise and health plan behavioral health (BH) programs, services, initiatives and projects.
- Performs analyses related to quality of member care and develops behavioral health programs to support continuous quality improvement.
- Identifies and reviews new products to enhance behavioral health care service delivery, safety net planning, development of alternative levels of care (with anticipated improved outcomes with cost offsets), predictive modeling, integration of medical care management and other behavioral health approaches that support the patient-centered medical home. • Communicates state and federal regulatory changes related to behavioral health service benefits to enterprise/plan leadership.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of state plan requirements/cross-functional aspects of operational and health care service departments and reporting/financial impacts as they relate to management of behavioral health services.
- Represents Molina in behavioral health meetings with state regulators, provider groups, community service agencies, advocacy groups or other stakeholders.
- Local travel may be required (based upon state/contractual requirements).
- At least 8 years health care experience, including 5 years experience in a behavioral health setting, and preferably Medicaid managed care experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- At least 3 years of health care management/leadership experience.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW), Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, or Doctor of Psychology (PhD or PsyD). If licensed, license must be active and unrestricted in state of practice. Clinical licensure and/or certification required ONLY if required by state contract, regulation or state board licensing mandates.
- Experience demonstrating understanding of all elements of the full continuum related to behavioral health services (e.g., inpatient and outpatient services, community support services, substance abuse treatment programming, etc.). • Familiarity of treatment modalities and programs across ages inclusive of child and adult specialty programming.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to work within a variety of settings and adjust style as needed - working with diverse populations, various personalities and personal situations.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and demonstrate self-motivation.
- Responsive in all forms of communication, and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with individuals.
- Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to focus on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to change.
- Excellent problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office suite/applicable software program(s) proficiency.
- Active and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Clinical practice experience with a behavioral health entity or managed care organization.
- Experience in discharge planning, home health or transitional care.
- Knowledge of National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) requirements related to behavioral health conditions.
- EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system experience.
- Telehealth experience.
- Experience with underserved populations facing socioeconomic barriers to health care.
- Bilingual.

Pay Range: $88,453 - $172,484 / ANNUAL
