About the Role
The role of Director, Clinical, is a senior Māori healthcare leader who is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations within Hauora Māori Services. In this role, you will collaborate with other senior leaders and executives across Health New Zealand, working towards our organisational goals. You will have a particular focus on improved health outcomes, health gains and development of Māori whānau and communities.
About the Team/Service
As the Hauora Māori Service of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) our core role is to ensure New Zealanders have better and more timely access to health care. The devolution of resources and decision making to the regions ensures those closest to service users and whānau are involved in decisions on how healthcare is delivered. We are committed to ensuring our operating model is responsive to the needs of Māori.
About you
You will be able to actively partner with Senior Clinical leaders to execute comprehensive care strategies including quality improvement goals, patient / whānau safety initiatives, and clinical practice standards / system of care improvements. You will have experience providing trusted Māori health leadership and advice as this role is a trusted subject matter expert at the highest level.
You will have:
- A minimum of 10 years' work experience in a clinical senior role, including 5+ years as a leader
- Relevant health qualification and Annual Practicing Certificate
- Experience working in a Māori cultural context and cultural capability working in tikanga, te reo and kawa
- Significant experience managing complex relationships wile in a complex, fast-paced environment
